“Professional dance technique to teach life skills such  as discipline, responsibility, accountability, and team work.”

The Danseur Develop Project, is a unique program, conceived and directed by Co-Founder Waverly T. Lucas, II.

Minority and disadvantaged young boys and men are provided a highly structured and nurturing environment to learn classical dance using an athletic approach. Young men between ages 6 and 21 are taught skills such as discipline, responsibility, accountability and teamwork.  Through professional instruction, strong leadership and male mentoring, these young men emerge from the project gaining strength, self-awareness, and maturity which helps them succeed in all areas of their lives. These students often participate in performance opportunities through Ballethnic’s major productions or in collaboration with Ballethnic Youth Ensemble performances .
